Harlingen Parks playgrounds beginning to open on March 12

Park Playgrounds all over Harlingen will be able to open by March 12. As a safety precaution due to COVID 19 Playgrounds in the city of Harlingen have been closed for almost a year.

The reopening of Playgrounds however will be made with some restrictions and guidelines to keep the residents of Harlingen safe. 

According to a release made by the city of Harlingen those guidelines include limiting capacity on playgrounds, supporting physical distancing, cleaning surfaces, wearing face coverings, utilizing properly trained staff, and educating the community about the reopening guidelines.

Occupancy will be limited and a disinfecting crew will close the Playgrounds at 8:00 am and 2:00 for 15 minutes at a time to clean and sanitize the area. There would also be hand washing and sanitizing, however Parents are encouraged to bring their own as well as face mask for themselves and children above the age of two. 

Each park will also have its specific guidelines and occupancy levels for residents to check before entering.
