Last weekend Spring Break began in several cities, some States lift COVID 19 restrictions and many have received immunization shots, also airports had the most activity since March 2020.
Airports reported for both Friday and Sunday more than 1.3 million people screened by the Transportation Security Administration.
Despite the high numbers, overall numbers for the Industry are on the lower end, with passenger numbers still 50% below March 2019.
After numbers went up Dr. Rochelle Walensky, Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention urged Americans to continue with COVID 19 safety measures.
“These should be warning signs for all of us. Cases climbed last spring, they climbed again in the summer, they will climb now if we stop taking precautions,” said Walensky.
