More than 3,000 COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in the last two days in the Edinburgh school district.

Since last Tuesday, the administration of the Modern vaccine began at a rate of 350 doses per hour, managing to administer more than 2000 vaccines in the day, the rhythm continued for Wednesday day in which at least 1000 more doses were administered not letting any vaccine go unused.

More than 53 in-house registered nurses were put into duty to administer the vaccines and not only the Edinburgh CISD worked to accomplish this, also the County helped.

Those vaccinated include older adults over 50 years of age, teachers, staff and some other people under 50 years of age but who for health reasons are the first line in the administration of the vaccine.

The Edinburgh CISD is waiting to receive more vaccines to continue the vaccination process, the main priority of the CISD is to keep the community safe, Edinburgh has the resources and facilities and they are prepared to continue with the process as soon as more shipments of the vaccine are prepared.
