President Joe Biden is expected to speak to news media outlets and reporters today during a televised White House Event at 1:15 p.m. EDT.
This will be the first official press conference, where he’ll likely address issues with immigration gun control, international affairs, and COVID 19 vaccination.
“It’s an opportunity for him to speak to the American people, obviously directly through the coverage, directly through all of you,” White House press secretary Jen Psaki told reporters.
Due to the pandemic restrictions, only a few journalists from news outlets selected by the White House Correspondents will be present.
