Hidalgo County reported 214 positive COVID-19 cases and one death today. Since the beginning of the pandemic, the county has reported 2,766 coronavirus-related deaths.
One woman has died because of COVID 19 related symptoms, the Hidalgo County Health and Human Services Department has reported, the woman was from San Juan and has in her late 60s.
For the 214 positive cases, 121 have been confirmed, 69 are probable and 24 are suspect.
104 people remain in area hospitals to be treated for COVID-19 related symptoms with 41 of them hospitalized in intensive care units.
