NACC Houston will open as a shelter for migrant minors

The Office of Refugee Resettlement announced that the National Association of Christian Churches site in Houston Texas will serve as an Emergency Intake Site for unaccompanied migrant minors.

This site will be begging with a 500-bed capacity but is the U.S. Department of Health and Humane Services is looking to increase that up to 13,500.

The shelter will start receiving minors as soon as the facility is prepared and every child will be screened for COVID-19, official said CDC guidelines will also be followed.
