Hugo Martinez from the Departments of Veterans Affairs says that a push to get COVID-19 vaccines to military veterans is underway, but this effort will also benefit caretakers and families.

“Over 50,000 that are not enrolled,” Martinez from the Department of Veteran Affairs said. “If they want to, they can come to the clinic and get their COVID-19 vaccine.”

Any veteran can receive a COVID-19 vaccine, regardless of how they were discharged. To sign up for the COVID-19 vaccine with the Department of Veteran Affairs, Veterans, and families or caretakers can call 855-864-0516.
