The first super moon of 2021 is expected to light up the sky this month on Monday, April 26.
“Pink Moon” will be visible for spectators right after sunset and will reach illumination at 11:33 pm EST.
Experts recommend searching for an open area to obtain the best view of the first of three super moons for 2021.
Although the name of this super moon is “Pink Moon” its hue won’t actually be pink, it’s expected to appear golden and fade into a bright white at dawn.
The “Pink moon” name comes from the time the super moon usually appears, right after springtime blooms of the wildflower commonly known as “moss pink”.
The second of three super moons for this 2021 is expected for May 26.
