After yesterday’s statement from the CDC and the FDA recommending the pause on Johnson & Johnson / Janssen COVID-19 vaccine, the Hidalgo County Homebound COVID-19 vaccination program has decided to temporarily discontinue the usage of the vaccine.

For those residents who already received the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine and have not had a reaction, Health officials recommend staying calm and monitor any symptoms they may have.
The county homebound vaccination program was announced last week and homebound and elderly residents can call 956-292-7765 to set up an appointment with the county to receive the COVID-19 vaccine at home.
