The Gladys Porter Zoo is celebrating Earth Day by throwing a virtual birthday Party to mother Earth.
The Zoo is inviting all residents to join them on Saturday, April 24 on both Facebook and YouTube at 10:00 am.
People in assistance will be able to learn more about the many ways they can take actions to help protect the earth, along with lessons and activities to have fun while learning about our Planet.
In addition to the event, the Zoo will offer a pick-up addition, a Pollinator Rescue kit, prior to the event.
The kits can be collected on Earth Day, April 22nd from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Kits are limited to one per child, while supplies last.
Families who pick up their kit will also be able to win a five-gallon native tree to plant at their home. Fifty trees will be given away courtesy of a grant from the Apache Corporation.
Pick-ups will be held at the Gladys Porter Zoo at 500 E Ringgold St, Brownsville, TX.
