According to Harlingen police, an assault of a 15-year-old had lead to the arrest of a 16-year old suspect.
The altercation which has left a minor in critical condition, happened this past Tuesday. Harlingen EMS was flagged down the parking lot of a fast-food restaurant located at South 77 in Harlingen, where they found an unidentified male teen with a gunshot.
The investigation of the event is still undergoing, names of the victim and the suspect were not disclosed.
The suspect is currently in custody and has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
