Yesterday President Joe Biden addressed a joint session of Congress in the House Chamber at the Capitol.
The joint session addressed a variety of topics during his address, including the American Rescue Plan, COVID-19 vaccination distribution, stimulus checks, the migrant crisis at the border, and food, and rental assistance.
This also happened to be nap time for Sen. Ted Cruz, who was caught sleeping during the session.
Video footage shows the senator sleeping then briefly opening his eyes, before dosing off again.
Minutes after Biden ended his speech, Cruz issued the following statement:
“For the millions of Americans who found something better to do tonight than listen to Joe Biden outline his socialist vision for our country, I can summarize his speech in three words for you: boring, but radical.”
