HEB stores have announced that beginning this week masks will be optional at its stores across Texas, this rule will apply to workers, vendors, and shoppers.
This new rule, according to a release, was “encouraged by the favorable COVID-19 trends in Texas” and was made after reviewing the updated guidance from the CDC.
This hasn’t been the first time HEB has lifted its rule to wear a mask, back in March after Gov. Greg Abbott lifted Texas the mask mandate, the store also removed the rule for using masks to “strongly encouraged but not required for customers” bur received many critiques by clients and workers, which lead to changing the policy back.
