Brownsville ISD staff, students, and administrators celebrated an event this week in an effort to raise awareness about the importance of recycling.
“Recycling Matter ” rally goal was to raise awareness on the 3r’s: reduce, reuse, and recycle.
“It is very important that we all do our part to recycle as many of the resources that we utilize in our school district,” Brownsville ISD Superintendent Dr. Rene Gutierrez said. “We have up to, perhaps up to 75% of our resources that we can recycle and we are educating our kids and our teachers and our staff.”
The event featured art performances, art contests, and awards for students who took part in the district’s Recycling campaign.
