Greg Abbott, governor of Texas, this Monday signed a law that will have consequences for those businesses and government institutions located in that state that request proof of vaccination to provide services or enter the facilities, despite not being mandatory to be vaccinated or present proof of having done so.

Given this, the health sector authorities invite the population to be vaccinated since they formulate that this is a measure that could bring life back to normal with greater speed and effectiveness.

The signed law reiterates ensuring that people have the freedom to go wherever they want.

Likewise, those companies and institutions that are caught red-handed will not be able to obtain state contracts, even lose licenses and operating permits.

Although some businesses have decided to respect the guidelines of the law in question, they will keep the basic recommendations in practice: social distancing and the correct use of face masks.

In contrast, some traders point out that, despite the sanitary measures implemented, there is a feeling of uncertainty that makes them a latent source of contagion.
