Hurricane season started this past June 1, and while Tropical Storm bill is expected to be a short-lived storm as it moves towards the northeast, away from the U.S. coastline, other disturbances could reach our coasts.

An area of low pressure in the Mexican Bay of Campeche will linger for a couple of days before moving northward by Thursday, where it could become a tropical depression.

Depending on how close along the coast the disturbance gets, it could reach Rio Grande Valley with some chance of rainfall.

The 2021 Hurricane season is expected to have above-average activity and will run through November 30th.
