Hidalgo County has reported 671 new positive cases of COVID-19, and 2 coronavirus-related deaths.
A man in his 50s from Alamo and a woman in the 70+ age group died as a result of the virus.
From the 671 cases reported 120 are confirmed, 550 are probable, and one is suspect according to the news release.
Since the pandemic began, the county has seen 96,796 positive infections.
Vaccination is still ongoing for Hidalgo County, experts recommend getting the vaccine if you meet the age and health requirements.
